Father Christopher Zuggar
Personal Trainers Albuquerque
My philosophy in life is simple, "Changing Lives, one step at a time." I love being a personal trainer because I get to do just that. Every day I get to wake up and motivate, inspire, coach, heal, and improve someone's quality of life. What more can a person ask for? Being a personal trainer is not just a job to me, it's my purpose in life.
I believe that anybody can achieve whatever they put their mind and heart into. When you set your mind and heart into something, anything can happen. The sky's the limit. I believe that exercise should be a part of everyone's life. Exercise can bring a new sense of life and happiness. It is my goal to bring that new sense of life and happiness through exercise in all my clients.
I specialize in corrective exercise, lifestyle management, and sports injury prevention. I work a lot with people that are experiencing joint or muscular pain, individuals with specific physiological goals (i.e. reduction of body fat, increased muscle size and definition), and recreational athletes that want to stay healthy and pain free.

My purpose in life as I see it is to create happiness within each person I meet. As a personal trainer I feel I am able to help facilitate this through teaching my clients the importance of exercise and healthy lifestyles. I know what it feels like to be trapped in a body that you are unhappy with, and often wonder how you got there. Through my own struggles with weight loss I know what you might be feeling. I understand how hard it is to want to get up and do something for yourself other than eat!
I know if you are guided properly and given the tools for success you can create the healthy life you are looking for! I will teach you how to overcome your struggles and gain the confidence to be who you know you are.
I dedicate my time to working with women who are struggling with their self image. Whether it be from a life of being overweight or the weight gained from children, addictions, or physical problems. I truly enjoy seeing the changes within each one of my clients.

I never thought that I would be someone with a weight problem. I was always a very active kid and did sports all my life, therefore I never really paid attention to what I ate and never really restricted my food intake at all. I also never had a problem with my heigh fluctuating, so I continued to eat what I wanted when I wanted well into my 20's.
My first child was born when I was 24 and I had gained a whopping 60 pounds from that pregnancy. I managed to lose about 20 pounds before my second pregnancy two years later. After my second pregnancy, my scale tipped just south of 200lbs and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to get my weight to reduce.
It took a whole team of people behind me to really turn things around. The team at UMPT kept me accountable on a weekly basis and that in turn helped me stick to my fitness and nutrition regimen. Together as a team we reassessed my goals often and always kept readjusting my workouts and diet to never lose sight of what I had set out to accomplish.
The trainers and coaches at UMPT were my cheerleaders throughout this process and offered me a lot of support and encouragement. Ultimately, I am the one who did the work, but they made it so much easier to stick to the plan
"Throw your whole heart over the bar and your body will follow."
My philosophy reminds me of the three things I strive for everyday 1) Do more than what is expected 2) Love what you do 3) Don’t doubt your ability. I create every workout with you in mind. I love supporting, motivating and influencing people to discover the many health related benefits of physical activity. My love for learning and continual education proves to be incredibly valuable when creating a wellness experience that compliments your lifestyle. You can always look forward to receiving top notch information about the leading trends in the fitness, nutrition and wellness industry.
As a personal trainer, nutritionist, and lifestyle coach, I feel it is my obligation to educate and empower individuals in discovering their unlimited potential through designing a highly personalized, effective, lifestyle experience that brings about positive self-motivation, enhancement of overall quality of life, and habits that facilitate a successful, maintainable lifestyle.
I approach personal training with an attitude of honor and respect that a client is entrusting me to help them achieve their dreams and goals. My highest motivation and greatest reward is when my clients first discover self-actualization- the desire to become the best you can be. My job is to guide you there.
My specialty is working with clients that are ready to incorporate an integrated lifestyle experience. I help clients identify personal barriers and behavioral patterns and give them the tools to overcome them. By listening to your needs I create a wellness experience that expands across all aspects of your life. My goal is to work with any individual who has a desire to create changes towards a healthier and happier lifestyle.
