Our trainers are the best in the city of Albuquerque, holding college degrees in exercise science and personal training certifications from NASM, NSCA, ACE, and ACSM.
We believe that you deserve the best. There are a handful of gyms offering personal training and group training in Albuquerque. We purposely differentiate ourselves as the Albuquerque personal and group training gym that goes the extra mile. Our attention to detail from having your own personal water and towel ready every time you come in to motivational calls and birthday cards is what makes your workout more than a workout, but an experience.
We also have a convenient online reservation system to ensure that your appointments are set when you are ready to set them.
The number one excuse I hear from people is “I don’t have time to work out.” No more excuses. We take advantage of every single minute that you do have time to work out and combine a unique combination of cardio, toning exercises, and flexibility in a quick 25 minute workout that will not leave you excessively sore. We do not use heavy weights nor do we use complicated machines. When we say we are personal trainers that offer personal training, we really mean it and our personal trainers and the programs we set up for our clients reflect that fact. We use a multitude of different modalities to challenge your body and create a healthier and happier YOU!
We know and understand the importance of your individual needs and goals. This is why we first listen and discuss your concerns with your workouts, designing and creating a fun workout that you will stick to for continued results.

We understand that starting a workout can be intimidating especially if you had a previous injury. We know many people who suffer from low back pain, neck pain, or knee pain. This can scare you from working out, but we assure you that this can be solved with a proper flexibility and strength program.
We take care and consideration in designing your routine by evaluating your posture and flexibility to determine what muscles are the major problems areas. From there we design an individualized workout and flexibility plan to alleviate muscular imbalances. This will give you the freedom and comfort to know that working out does not have to cause you pain.
Our workout programs are not only fun and exciting each time you walk into our studio, but our programs will leave you wanting more. We take into every account your current fitness level, current nutritional status, and your goals to create a workout that is customized to your needs.

Depending on your fitness goals, current health status, and your schedule, we will accommodate whatever situation you are in and design a customized and individual program to FIT your needs. We aim to inspire our local Albuquerque community by hosting regular educational seminars for Joy Junction. We also are active contributors to other national and local charitable organizations such as the Bernalillo Clothing Bank and the Alzheimer’s Association.

How Upward Motion Nutrition & Fitness started
Upward Motion Fitness & Nutrition began as a personal mission of Luis Alvidrez, founder and owner, to make the world a healthier and happier place.
My inspiration first began when I was 17; I was overweight, lacked self-esteem, and self-confidence. It was through the inspiration of one person that motivated me to become something more.
In January 2003, I made a New Year’s Resolution that changed the course of my life forever. I vowed to myself that I would be in a bodybuilding competition that summer and prove to myself that I can do anything if I put my mind and heart into it.
In 6 months I lost 40 pounds and stepped on that bodybuilding stage a new and different person. I not only changed my life aesthetically, but also mentally and spiritually. It was on that stage that I knew I had to dedicate my life to inspire others to health and fitness.
After graduating college with my Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, I knew I had to begin my mission to inspire the world to health and fitness. That is why I built and formed a Personal Training Company called Upward Motion Fitness & Nutrition. Our mission is simple, to inspire the world to live a healthier life.
As an industry leading fitness brand we feel that we have a greater responsibility not only globally through our 2020 vision, but locally as well, to the clients in the communities that we serve and the neighborhoods we operate our fitness centers from. Which is why we believe in getting involved with our communities and contributing locally whenever possible. That’s what being a good neighbor is all about. So when you step foot into our Fit Body Boot Camp you can expect a clean, friendly, and fun high energy workout environment that’s not only a place to get fit and healthy, but a place to make friends with others in your community.
